The Raconteurs

The most exciting collaboration I’ve heard about since Gnarls Barkley! (I laughed.)

The Raconteurs are composed of Jack White (White Stripes), Brendan Benson, Jack Lawrence (Greenhornes) and Patrick Keeler (also Greenhornes).

They formed in 2005 up in Detroit and just released three 7″s and a CD single this week for their first single “Steady, As She Goes” (of course, all 4 have different tracks on them). I obviously bought all four which is just impatient on my part because their first full-length, “Broken Boy Soldiers”, is being released next Tuesday.

They’re on tour though unfortunately nowhere near Atlanta. They’re hitting up all the huge UK music festivals, NYC and LA gigs, a handful more around Europe then Lollapalooza in Chicago this fall. Friday is the broadcast of their World Cafe session and they’re on Conan on the 18th. If you really want to see them, just visit their website and click ‘1′ under the Media section to see their music video that’s been blowing up in the UK. (They have a DAMN cool website you should check out regardless.)

Shit. Just listen to it already:
