I feel bad, I haven’t posted anything for a while now - I have no great excuses, and I’m not going to say I’ve been too busy, even though I kind of have been. WHATEVER . There are a couple of things that I’m excited about and I want to share with Drive a Faster Car friends.

Tomorrrow I’ll be backstage wrangling photogs at the Elvis Costello concert at the Fox. Elvis Costello! um, yea, thats kind of a big deal. Elvis Costello is on tour in the U.S. picking up Symphony Orchetras along the way, and well, playing with them. He’s promoting his CD “Il Sogno” inspired by William Shakespeare’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream.’ After performing tracks from Il Sogno, Costello will be performing some of the tunes he’s better known for - like Allison and Veronica. After the show, I’m probably goning to be drinking at the Pool Hall in Buckhead. I know what you’re thinking - Buckhead? WTF? the Pool Hall is not Buckhead, its just in Buckhead. It’s this small little dive bar, 60 years old this summer, and probably hasnt been cleaned since day one. cheap 24 oz. PBRs, and it usually fills up with an interesting crowd of folks.

Aside from that Im also pretty psyched about an upcoming show at Smith’s Olde Bar - Saturday May 27, my friends in The Lord is My Shotgun, the fantastic Warm Gunns, and the hotties in the Dollsquad Burlesque Revue are all going to be on stage at some point in the evening. doors at 8 - show at 9. Believe me, you dont want to miss any of the performances.
