If you’re like most Americans, you’ll be spending your Cinco De Mayo celebrating the victory of Mexican forces over the French by getting tanked.  Just wanted to give you two options where you can still get drunk, but help someone out at the same time. 

Think of these as Benefits Under the Influence (aka B.U.I.’s)

First off, The Earl is hosting a concert benefit for Jessica Juggz.

Featuring Mourdella (Jessica’s new band), Gringo Star, Tiger! Tiger! and Night Of The Wolf.There will also be an art show/sale featuring works from Cooper Sanchez, Ashley Adiano, Rene Arriagada, Ben Trickey, Nathan Morris, Jake Jones, John Searson, John Hinkemeyer, Lollie Nabors, Phil Colvin, Brian Pittman, R. Land and more.

Suggested donation is $8 and show starts at 9:30PM. 

I plan to be at the second one, which is a benefit for Knockin’ Robin at the Star Bar.

Knockin’ Robin is one of the Atlanta Rollergirls and a friend.  This benefit is to help offset the costs from her recent rotator cuff surgery on her shoulder, along with lost wages and rehabilitation.  Portions of the proceeds raised will also go to assist future injured roller girls. There will be music by DJ Osagie, along with a silent auction with items donated by many different individuals and organizations.  There will also be food provided by Slopes BBQ and Ria’s Bluebird Cafe.

Suggested donation is $5 and party starts at 8:30PM.

So try to come out to one or the other if you can. 
Or both if you feel up to it.
Just make sure you have a designated driver or cab it, so there won’t have to be a benefit in your honor.
