Like all things good in life, I discovered the show “We Need Girlfriends” on the internet. That’s right, I said it. Before the internet life was dull and meaningless. I don’t even want to go into what life was like before cable. Thank God those dark days are in the past.
“We Need Girlfriends” is an online web-series, in my opinion, better than anything on TV these days. Once a month a new episode is posted (on the website, myspace and via i-tunes podcast) following the lives of Tom, Henry and Rod, as they struggle to understand the complexities of dating after living the college life. It’s a ’sitcom about dating, without the dating.’
I caught up with Angel Acevedo (Ragtag Films), WNG’s Director of Photography/Editor/Producer and asked him a few questions about the show, the characters and the music selected for the show (which by the way they love hearing new local/ independent music).
I will post the interview on Monday because some of the questions are show related. So do yourself a favor and watch episodes 1-4 today, 5-8 tomorrow and a brand new espisode 9 on Sunday.
