Last week a good friend and personal music guru handed me a compilation CD and said “I got some good tracks off this, see if you like it,” then walked out of my office kind of mystically.
The CD was Tankfarm Future Sounds 29, I skimmed the playlist and slowly started to smile. I knew I’d just been given what would be on constant rotation for the weekend. With bands like Nico Vega, MGMT, Film School and Autovaughn all over it, I couldn’t wait to really sit and give it a listen.
Not only did I give it a listen, and today, Tuesday, am still playing it - but I also found out the folks at Tankfarm Future Sounds are putting on a concert with bands on their compilations! Even better, they have their show in Atlanta tomorrow!
I’ve been all over these bands for some time now - Do yourself a favor and be all over them too.

The Shout Out Louds were great and, not surprisingly, very Peter, Bjorn and John-like. A good $12 spent.
