Nick Parsons (aka English Nick when dj’ing on 99x or hosting Metalsome Monday aka Nicola Areola when announcing for the Atlanta Rollergirls) has involved in a car serious car accident in his mini-cooper last weekend. Even with his multiple airbags, he suffered a broken hip and was required to have surgery this week to install a steel plate.

As with most rock and rollers, he has no health insurance and as you can imagine, the costs will be high. Metalsome Inc. will be holding five benefits for Nick over the next few weeks (Tuesdays and Sundays) at 10 High in Virginia Highlands. Admission will be $5.00 and it’s a $10.00 donation to sing. All money will be donated to English Nick.

Metalsome will continue and continue to pay English Nick while he is out (which he’s been quoted to say will only be this week… we’ll see). It’s comforting to see such support in the Atlanta scene and from the 10 High community. Please attend if you can. We at Drive A Faster Car can testify that Nick is a great guy and a major supporter of the local Atlanta music scene. We hope he heals soon!
