Very few things will get me out of bed before 8AM on a Saturday morning. Today, it’s SoCon08 hosted at Kennesaw State University.
SoCon08 is built on the premise that collectively we know more than we do individually. Last year was an introduction to social media, user-generated content, blogs, podcasts, video logs, social networking, wikis… but nothing stands still. Find out what you have to know in 2008 to stay ahead of the learning curve.
For those interested, Robert of Tread Heavily is liveblogging the event. Check it out:
There’s an interesting selection of breakouts this afternoon. I’m attending two: 1) “Make Your Own High-Profile Web Magazine” with Deanna Sutton (watch out Drive A Faster Car readers!) & 2) “Citizen Media: Adopt a Journalist or Be One” with Leonard Witt, a citizen journalism professor at KSU. Will report back whether I learn anything new!
