Baltimore duo, Beach House, just released their second full-length Devotion earlier this week. The band’s self-titled debut, released late in 2006, was hip with the bloggers and critics and amassed a tremendous following for the pair.
This week, the band debuted its video for the single “You Came To Me”, directed by Skizz Cyzyk (The Moaners, etc). Cyzyk chose the backdrop of an eerie old Baltimore church for the video and incorporated a variety of visual themes and elements. The result is “a brilliant optical treat that is better seen than described”. Here’s the video for “You Came To Me”:
Beach House also just launched a US tour with The Papercuts including at The Earl tonight! I’m opting to “be old” at the apartment this evening but am planning on checking them out next week at SXSW.
