Heartbreaking (among the rest): The gorgeous old stained glass windows at The Tabernacle were blown out by the Atlanta tornado this past weekend.
I haven’t heard anything yet as to what they will be doing whether replacing the stained glass or just inserting new windows. *heart breaks*
I also heard a RUMOR that the Cotton Mill Lofts will have to be demolished due to the level of injuries the buildings sustained. I can’t imagine they are terribly structurally sound right now. This is also quite sad if true.
It’s not like Atlanta has the plethora of historic buildings like many other large Eastern cities (thanks a lot Sherman).

Just saw the Cotton Mill Lofts from my train this morning. Looks pretty bad, but not salvageable.

You mean pretty bad but salvageable?
Now I heard from another tenant that she heard they had planned on repairing it.
I suppose we’ll just have to wait and see.
