Wine Enthusiast Magazine will host its Toast of the Town, a spectacular evening of wine and food pairings, at Atlanta’s Georgia Aquarium tonight, Thursday, April 17, 2008. This event, an annual highlight of the New York City epicurean scene for the past seven years, is a wine and food lover’s delight.

It is the first Toast of the Town event to be held in Atlanta, and it will showcase over 60 wine and spirit companies, pouring a selection of over 500 of their premium products to the sounds of live jazz. Accompanying these will be signature dishes from 30 of Atlanta’s top restaurants.

Among the participating wineries are Castello Banfi, Champagne Louis Roederer, Kendall-Jackson, Casa Lapostolle, Cloudy Bay, Mumm Napa, Concha y Toro, Domaine Chandon, Joseph Drouhin, and Ravenswood.

Accompanying the beverages will be signature dishes from over 30 of Atlanta’s top restaurants including Aquaknox, Woodfire Grill, Ecco, Imperial Fez, Eno Restaurant, Canoe, Taurus, Oceanaire and Seasons 52. Full list of participating restaurants and wineries.

The event will also feature a silent auction and the proceeds will benefit the education programs of the Georgia Aquarium.

Also, with every VIP Ticket purchase made from 12/01/07 to 4/17/08 comes a Free Pass to tour the Georgia Aquarium. Touring hours are from 5-7pm on the day of the event only (4/17). Passes can be picked up at the entrance for Toast of the Town. You will be permitted to bring wine inside the aquarium.
