I saw the The Avett Brothers for the first time last fall at the The Echo Project and haven’t stopped listening to their most recent release, Emotionalism (and everything else) ever since. Amazing live performance, great songs - and I even got to meet the guys!

Since then I’ve been on a folky-blue grass, or as some call it “grungegrass”, binge for months now and don’t think I’ll be kicking it anytime soon.

So of course I can’t wait ’til tomorrow night - The Avett Brothers are playing at the Variety Playhouse - and it’s already SOLD OUT. Sorry kids, shoulda bought your tickets in advance! If you cant make it, I advise you watch the tons of Avett Brothers videos up on YouTube and remember to not wait til the last minute.

On a brighter side - The Avett Bros. are playing all over the country throughout the summer, including Bonnaroo in June - so you just may get your chance! Check www.theavettbrothers.com for more tour dates.

I also highly recommend checking out Langhorne Slim
