If you’ve ever been to 97 Estoria you’ve seen Cooper Sanchez’s artwork, you know the big piece of Ulysses S. Grant and Robert E. Lee, I so want it.

Well that’s Cooper’s work. More of his work will be on display at the Function Event Space in downtown Decatur for a show titled Flagship Mark featuring flags created by Cooper and the Betsy Ross Society. The opening night is Friday, May 2 at 7pm. I’m hoping that means some free drinks to kick off the night…

Afterwards I highly recommend coming out to The Five Spot in Little Five Points for the monthly “Hand Job Art Experience.” Hand Job features live art by some pretty cool dudes who have in the past or still illustrate for Cartoon Network - this Friday they are inviting a friend of mine, tattoo artist Samuel Parker - and a Dance Party after that!
