    All this talk about the new album showcasing a "totally new and different Coldplay... much darker and serious, less poppy, crunching guitars, not as pretty..." seems to be miles off.

    The first two song releases both sound great (has Coldplay ever released a bad-sounding track???), but neither would seem out of place on either X&Y or Rush of Blood. Don't believe the hype!

    Very solid songs, but directionally similar - despite the presence of Eno.

    Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album!
