@jsf3000 Among the reasons we get passed over for good shows entirely TOO FREQUENTLY:
- Half of our venues have closed over the past few years.
- There aren't many other major markets nearby, thus less incentive for larger bands to "make a stop" down here.
- Charlotte and Nashville steal our shows. Often when a band wants to hit the South but doesn't have what they consider a base in any particular market, they'll choose either Charlotte, Nashville or Atlanta to play.

C'est la vie. Lame, incredibly.

Bands on tour who are not coming to Atlanta this summer (in no particular order): Built to Spill, Wilco, Death Cab, Pearl Jam, The Racontuers, Broken Social Scene, Rilo Kiley, !!!, Foo Fighters, Beck, Gnarles Barkley, Bright Eyes, Drive By Truckers, Okkervil River (Athens is not the same). This is just a handful off the top of my head. Did we do something wrong? Do our promoters suck? Somebody tell me what is the deal is here?
