**SHOW IS CANCELLED**

**SHOW IS CANCELLED**

If you were planning to go see The Fratellis at The Loft tonight, save yourself the gas and the exorbitant amount of cost to park around the CW Midtown Music Complex and stay home, because the show has been cancelled.

Unfortunately there was a death in the family of one of the band members, so they’ve cancelled the rest of the tour.  Not sure which band member was personally affected, but this statement was recently posted on the official Fratellis’ website:  “Due to a bereavement, the Fratellis have had to return to Scotland and therefore cancel the remaining five dates of their current US tour.”

According to one of the promoters, there was a plan to have the opening acts of The Airborne Toxic Event and Electric Touch do a small show downstairs at Vinyl.  But according to the current schedule on the Vinyl’s website, that didn’t happen.  At least you can still hear The Fratellis on a current Amstel Light beer commercial and The Airborne Toxic Event’s music was recently featured on an episode of Best Week Ever.  A small conciliation, I realize.

If you had already purchased your tickets to the show, they are refundable at the point of purchase (i.e. – where you bought them).  There’s no word on any rescheduling.  Guess that’ll be up to The Fratellis and 5 Gum, which was the sponsor of this tour.
