Emory’s Michael C. Carlos Museum is currently showing an exhibit that hits me in my girly bits my heart - “Big Shots: Andy Warhol’s Polaroid Portraits”.

Actors, athletes, socialites, and the mother of a U.S. President are among the subjects of the exhibition “Big Shots: Andy Warhol’s Polaroid Portraits”, on view in the John Howett Works on Paper Study Room from August 30 through December 14. Thirty-two photographs from the 1970s and 1980s by Andy Warhol (1928-1987) are on display. In addition, a screenprint portrait of “Miss Lillian” Carter, lent by the Carter Center, will also be included in the exhibition.

If you make the $7 donation (and you should), the Warhol stuff by itself isn’t really worth it unless you’re a superfan. It’s a pretty small collection on the walls. But there is a cool book in the gallery that shows the final prints he made from the polaroid studies. Be sure to check out rest of the museum to get your money’s worth…
