I honestly haven’t heard the latest U2 album beyond catching the single a few times here and there, which hasn’t wowed me. I have been told by a few trusted friends however that it isn’t terribly representative of the album on a whole, so I’ll have to get back with you once I can get my hands on the whole thing. Here is the first part of Yahoo! Music’s interview with U2.

    I am a huge U2 fan, but I cannot believe how pompous they can be sometimes.  I am completely appalled that Bono has no knowledge of Kurt Cobain’s views concerning the pitfalls of rock stardom.  Nirvana was done before Kurt even died because Kurt saw it growing stale and he found Dave Grohl too ambitious… and he was strung out as hell.  Bono’s got his head up the Edge’s ass.  He sure does manage to help make some good records up in there though.
