2009 Pulitzer Prize: Atlanta Represents

The Wall Street Journal’s Atlanta bureau chief, Douglas A. Blackmon, won the 2009 Pulitzer Prize today for his historical expose, “Slavery by Another Name: The Re-Enslavement of Black Americans from the Civil War to World War II.” Blackmon’s originally of Leland, Mississippi and formerly served as a reporter for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
