The Sketchbook Project

Atlanta’s Art House Co-op Gallery recently hosted an exhibition, The Sketchbook Project, where almost 3,000 participants from 45 countries were to fill a Moleskine® sketchbook along the theme “everyone we know.”

The visual interpretation of that theme, as well as visual style and media was left up to the individual artist. The exhibition was then taken to the road with tour stops in Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Boston, Chicago, St. Louis, and Brooklyn.

Great video coverage from CNN: 2800 artists for a sketchbook

Check out more projects at Art House Co-op’s website, where artists are able to create profiles, share portfolio images, and interact with each other, essentially forming a social networking site, as well as a collective of artists from various nationalities, ideologies, styles, and artistic backgrounds.
