So this year’s Creative Loafing Music Issue is officially on the stands — you can’t miss it — it’s a big mixtape. It made me think for a minute they had decided to change the orientation of the paper. (They haven’t.) That could be one strategy to keep people reading newspapers! Confuse them!

They polled a handful of Atlanta tastemakers, music critics and personalities to find out what songs would make up their ultimate mixtape playlist and invited me to be a part of it! Unfortunately, they asked me the day before their deadline so I copped out and did a mix of recent tracks I’ve been digging.

Check back tomorrow and early next week for a couple of “ultimate mixtape” drafts I threw together before relinquishing under time constraints (with mp3 goodness).
