Not to be confused with October’s Taste of Atlanta, Taste of the Nation Atlanta is one many Taste of the Nation events that takes place across the country to benefit Share our Strength, a charity dedicated to ending childhood hunger.

Hunger won’t be of concern to those attending this black tie optional event as more than 50 of Atlanta’s most accomplished chef’s offer savory samples of many kinds. Participating chef’s include Michael Broom of City Grill, Ken Bouche of Beleza, Kevin Gillespie of Woodfire Grill, Pano I. Karatassos of Kyma, Kevin Rathbun, Scott Serpas, Shane Touhy of Dogwood and many more. Kenny Rogers and his wife Wanda will serve as honorary chairpersons.
Food isn’t the only thing to taste, as there will also be wine samplings, live and silent auctions and other entertainment. The event takes place at the Georgia Aquarium on May 6. Tickets are $250 for general admission and $350 for VIP admission, with 100 percent of ticket sales going to Share our Strength. Taste of the Nation Atlanta begins at 7:30 p.m. with the VIP reception beginning at 6:30 p.m.
