Darn Neat

Sort It Out

With the summer music season in full swing, Criminal Records, my favorite Little 5 Points record/CD/comic store, brings a slew of in-store performances in the coming two months.

Tiny Vipers a.k.a. Jesy Fortino will be in-store to perform an all-ages free show for those that can’t make it or can’t get in to the 21+ show she will be playing at 529 later that evening. The new Tiny Vipers album, Life On Earth, will be released on Sub Pop Records Tuesday, July 7, and you can pre-order and pick up a poster, and maybe some bonus CD’s with your order, at the performance. Don’t miss the chance to see this mesmerizing songstress.

Wednesday, July 15 @ 7:00 PM

Nashville native, Todd Snider will be warming up at Criminal before his two nights of shows at Eddie’s Attic, July 16 – 17. If you haven’t heard anything from Todd Snider before, I suggest you give it a listen. At first, I wasn’t surprised to hear a folk sound with a southern touch, but after listening to more songs, I can’t help but be intrigued by the slightly sarcastic humor of his lyrics, and the skill at which the style of folk, country, and rock are all meshed into a cohesive sound.

Nightmare Of You
Tuesday, July 21 @ 7:00 PM

Indie-pop darlings, Nightmare Of You, are on tour promoting the release of their new album, Infomaniac, out on August 4. They’ll be playing in-store at Criminal before their show at Vinyl later that night.
