Wednesday, August 26, 2009 — The Flaming Lips opened their Atlanta, Georgia show at Chastain Park Amphitheatre with “Race For The Prize” (from “Soft Bulletin”).
The band came out to the stage via the backdrop featuring a retro video of a naked woman dancing seductively. Lead singer, Wayne Coyne crowdsurfed over the orchestra pit with the help of the audience in a plastic bubble during the song. “Race For The Prize” wrapped up with tons of confetti and giant balloons projected across the crowd.
The video is a little shaky thanks to the frat boys pushing their way around me, do forgive.
