Georgia is experiencing flash floods due to heavy overnight rains. Great portions of the city of Atlanta and it’s surrounding areas are being crippled by the backup.
This is a shot I took this morning of Peachtree Creek, a block from my house on Defoors Ferry Rd, in Buckhead. The creek is usually about fifteen to twenty feet shallower than what you can see here. Luckily there is a USGS monitor positioned there!
Feel free to email tessa at driveafastercar.com with your photos or videos of flooding in your area and I’m happy to post them.

Pretty crazy to see the graphs for Peachtree Creek over the past 7 days. We're saturated.

This is quite some rain. I believe the death toll has risen to five here in Georgia. I didn’t even realize how serious is was until I started driving to work, only to find out after 10 minutes of driving that the police had closed the road due to the flood. I also didn’t have power for most of my morning yesterday.
